The Program Santai Sungai at Kayuh D’Tonggang – Series 3 was successfully held on 11 and 12 October 2025, bringing together 19 participants from various government agencies, educational institutions, and the Orang Asli communities across Perak. This 2 day 1 night program is part of an ongoing initiative to promote Kayuh D’Tonggang as a community-based ecotourism destination, particularly within the Orang Asli settlements around RPS Ulu Kinta. The program is implemented under the Yayasan Hasanah and the Ministry of Finance Malaysia, in collaboration with JAKOA and the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (JPS) Perak.
A wide range of engaging activities were organised, including Menelusuri Denai Nong Becacip Jug, traditional blowpipe (sumpit) practice, demonstrations of trapping and weaving, an open river learning class (Sungai Senooi), a cultural sewang night, bird-watching sessions, and visits to community-based galleries. These activities offered participants a meaningful hands-on experience while showcasing the rich cultural heritage, natural environment, and traditional lifestyle of the local community.
